MB ice tea

im going through a horrible summer right now and find it hard to continously drink water throughout the day. instead ive been making many batches of iced ku kachu tea and dandelion cofee. i used to drink 1 cup a day of each but now im drinking over twice as much, is this ok?

Re: MB ice tea

One cup of tea per day in the summer is not enough!! You're much better off taking the tea hot in the summer, too. Try it, you will see that you feel cooler. Also, roasted barley tea (mugicha) is much more suitable. Drink it cool, not iced. Iced drinks are very hard on your stomach and kidneys. A good way to regulate liquid intake to get enough but not too much is, of course, to chew your drinks.

Re: MB ice tea

Alternatives:

Iced tea implies ice in the tea. Skip that, but put the tea in the fridge to cool awhile. If it's cold, leave it out for 15 minutes to come closer to room temperature.

Types of macro teas:
1) Brew twig tea (kukicha) and let cool on counter or fridge a few minutes. Drink.
2) Brew twig tea strong, let cool, then mix with half apple juice or another tree-based, temperate-zone fruit such as pear, etc. Drink.
3) Brew twig tea strong, let cool, then mix with half apple juice, a squeeze of lemon. Float a lemon circle on top or on the side of the glass for a refreshing look. Serve to guests and drink.
4) Brew barley tea (mugicha), let cool and drink.
5) Brew barley tea strong and mix with apple juice.
6) Brew mu tea (George Ohsawa's tea), let cool and drink. This is my favorite in summer.
7) Brew mu tea strong, cool, mix with apple juice.
8) Brew mu tea strong, cool, mix with apple juice and lemon.
9) Brew mu tea strong, cool, mix with apple juice, lemon, and then juice a broad leafy green such as collards or bok choy and mix into it.
10) Juice some carrot juice or other mix and add to your teas, give them a twist of a citrus such as lemon, lime, tangerine, or blood orange.

Have fun with this; there are lots of possibilities!
