Post Re: Rice Milk

lance,

It is highly unlikely that one might produce Rice Dream Beverage on a soymilk machine!

Though the beverage is made from filtered water, certified organic brown rice (partially milled [as much as 50%]), expeller pressed high oleic safflower oil, and sea salt; "Rice Dream Beverage is processed using a barley enzyme...."

Instead of trying to mimic Rice Dream Rice Milk Beverage, please consider making amasake, thinning and blending it with some purified water and a pinch of sea salt per 8 ounces of beverage.

Instead of using a soymilk machine you can place your fermenting rice in an oven with just the pilot light on and incubate for 12 hours, and if you do not have a gas oven, place the mixture in a wide
mouth jar and cover tightly. Float it in a large covered pot or tub
filled with warm water, or wrap in towels and place over a hot
water heater.

If you want something a little more sophisticated, you could use an electric yogurt maker:

""NOTE 5: You can make your home made amasake in a yogurt maker..." before thinning it to make your rice milk.

To learn about making amasake, please visit Re: Feeding your baby! and Re: Homemade Amazake

Thank you, very much.
