MB Candy Apples
i had to do something strange and possibly scary for halloween involving MB. maybe it was the spookiness of the night or just the jealousy of everyones sugar high but i felt like taking a risk and doing something a bit out there. So i made candy apples....i took 3 apples, one for each of my folks and i, and coated each with rice syrup. then left them in the fridge for 12 hours. just THAT simple. when trying them...they were....actually not bad at all. a bit on the sweet and yin side, but hey, just summer fruitiness taken to the max. im not sure if id try them again, but next halloween who knows. it was very fun making them and fairly good eating them. id suggest it for those out there willing to expand their gastronomic horizon. i will warn u that they were quite messy though, but personally i thought that accentuated the fun

Re: MB Candy Apples
spitting seeds? its a bit on the bad hygeine side. the germs in different ppls saliva would be flying everywhere, almsot as bad as dunking for apples. but thanks for the suggestion.

Re: MB Candy Apples
oh dear - I got in a giddy mood and I fear you took it quite seriously. Was just trying to be silly, sorry. Well, anyway there are loads of pumpkin seeds from all those pumpkins, and I always feel it such a shame to waste them. I do cook mine and love them. (nah, I don't spit them, either)
