A book I love is "Wild Fermentation" by Sandor Ellix Katz. It is very entertaining and provocative. Recipes for things as diverse as tempeh, miso, beer, pickles, wine, bread.

I made batches of saurkraut this spring per the article posted on cybermacro - it is delicious. I don't think I'll make it over the summer as it is out of sinc with seasons. Ever made the ricebran pickles?
