Re: Read macrobiotic books or magazines?
To help get you started, I've added my list of books that I have in my library! After some people add their selections to Part One, I will post the second poll in this series which includes the magazines.
Please vote now! Thank you, very much. Bruce Paine |

Hi,
A couple of folks have voted (besides myself) in the first macrobiotic books poll and more of you can vote in that poll when you feel like it and also, now vote in the second poll in this series. One thing that has come to my attention (maybe yours, too!) is that some people (maybe more) don't have copies of The Self-Healing Cookbook: A Macrobiotic Primer for Healing Body, Mind and Moods With Whole Natural Foods by Kristina Turner. My feeling is that The Self-Healing Cookbook should be an essential part of everyone's macrobiotic library, and possibly the first book and cookbook of anyone practicing macrobiotics for the first time! As much as I love my copy of The Hip Chick's Guide to Macrobiotics: A Philosophy for Achieving a Radiant Mind and a Fabulous Body by Jessica Porter my feeling is that it might be better appreciated by someone who has been both exposed to and practicing macrobiotics for a while, not really a good first book for beginners (sorry Jessica)! Again, please vote in this poll if you already haven't and also vote in the second macrobiotic books poll ! Thank you, very muich. Bruce Paine |

It is easier to give advice to people who reveal certain pertinate facts such as age, diet, location, activity, lifestyle etc and also what books and publications one has so that one can be told where (amongst one's resources) things that one is looking for, can be found!
So I've created this list of macrobiotic books and periodicals (from Simply Natural Foods) to start from! When seeking our help, tell us as much as you can about yourself and maybe we can better help you! Thank you, very much. Bruce Paine |

Re: Read macrobiotic books or magazines?
Hi Bruce,
One of my favorites that I didn't see listed is "The Cure Is in the Kitchen" by Sherry Rogers. As you're probably already aware, she's got a few other macrobiotic related books too. Anyway, nice job here! Damon |
