I simply NEEDED to just take a moment to describe what I just ate!
'Tis quickly approaching summer here in Australia(in fact, this may count as the beggining of it). I decided to treat myself to a fruity delight in honor of the DELICIOUS fresh, local fruit blossiming up in alll the markets now.
I chucked a gorgeous block of organic soft tofu(being the soy sycophant that I am), with some apple juice I juiced myself, and finely chopped strawberries. It was an odd consistency, didn't LOOK fantastic, but it was quite yummy. The tofu was a bit dominant in taste, as would be expected. I took my goopy but yummy mixture, put it in a lovely glass bowl, and chopped up some apricots to add in, as well as pine nuts and a little puffed kamut. It was absolutely delicious, certainly rather yin but I've been pretty good about balance so I think I can afford something a LITTLE tiddy bit extreme for now.
Anyway, it was a treat. Not really "proper" cooking as it was blending and chopping random bits of fruit but it ended up being just as delicious as the "proper" recipes I do try.
I will find time later to update my culinary experience in spain, as well as momentous tastings that have occured in the past few months. For now...back to work, ugh...
