Question Just Starting out, Suffer Psoriasis, tips???

Hi there,
Im 20yo, F, im new to macrobiotics. i have eaten vegan for the past 2 years to try and help my very very bad psoriasis. I get psoriasis all over my body, mostly scalp, legs and arms. At times with healthy eating and alot of rest i have managed to completely rid myself of my psoriasis but as soon as i take on more work and begin taking part in normal daily tasks it flares up again.
I currently work crazy hours is a very bad environment. I work in live music, which means although im not a smoker i am constantly surrounded by smokers. But i love my work.
I am also a very tight and stressed person, i find it hard to relax and always have, even as a child. i am convinced that this impacts my psoriasis hugely.
I am aware that psoriasis and skin diseases are connected to the kidneys so i think it probably relevent to let you know i was also born with duplex kidneys, being that i have siamesed kidneys on the left side and 1 normal kidney on the right, three in total. Throughout my childhood i wet the bed as a result of this and continue to suffer repeated UTI's and minor kidney infections.
I am just starting to stear my diet more toward macrobiotics and i am enjoying it and finding it rather easy thusfar.

If anyone has any advice on things i should include into my diet to aid in healing my psoriasis and my UTI problems please help me.

I want to avoid prescriptions as much as possible but fear that on the arise of a UTI i may need anti-biotics??? any ideas, tips or dietry alterations anyone can advise would be greatly appreciated.

PS... if there is an experienced macrobiotic out there that would like to adopt me and give me continueing advice, as i live in adelaide and there is little to no macrobiotic community here, it would be greatly appreciated.

kind regards,
emma

Hi Emma,

I was reading your post and I thought of a councelor that might help. Her name is Susan Marque. Maybe you heard of her? It seems that she had skin problems (eczema) all her life and was able to cure her condition through diet. She does consultations over the phone and helps you with cooking over the phone too. Here is an article about her
