canker sores

can anybody provide a general remedy for canker sores in the mouth to relieve discomfort or speed the healing of?

there can be many causes:
some are B vitamin deficiencies, excess sugars, fruits, allergies, infections.
some people find the amino acid Lysine useful, others like the herb olive leaf.
A latent virus, lack of sleep and stress all contrbute.
