Newly Redsigned CyberMacro

Here is the basic text that I just added to the front page concerning the redesign.

The newly redesigned web site is fully interactive which means that any one of you can get involved and help build the ever growing CyberMacro Community. Add a link to our International Macrobiotic Directory, Add to our Macrobiotic Articles or Recipes Section. Don't want to be an author? Then be a critic! Post your very own comments on any article, recipe, or news item. Have a macrobiotic related service available or in need a macro cook, post online a classified ad, its free! Read or heard some interesting news that you think others may be interested in hearing about? Have it appear on our front page under our news section. Are you the type of person that has much to say, get your own personal blog here and share your day to day thoughts on whatever! All you need to do to participate is create an account.

Let me know of any feedback positive or negative in here about the redesign.

Have you considered enabling the use of avatars on the site?

I post on a few groups and everyone always seems to have fun choosing an avatar for her/himself. They give everyone a little personality/individuality online.

I can understand if you wouldn't want to do this, but I thought I would just make the suggestion for you to ponder.

Hi Mara,

Good suggestion. I guess this was not something I had really thought of.

I have gotten this working so you can upload your own avatar. At the same time, I uploaded a few that others can pick directly from. These are probably not the greatest.

If anyone runs accross some good ones, let me know and I can make it so anyone can get access to them.

The ones you have here are very cool. However, can't figure out where I would upload a custom avatar?
