Hi Dan. The standard macrobiotic diet contains adequate amounts of calcium. Leafy greens, seaweeds, shellfish, almonds,
and wild greens are all abundant sourcs of calcium. Cows
have strong bones and do not drink milk -- they eat grass, no?

Overdosing on calcium actually inhibits the uptake of calcium.
Small amounts are better absorbed. Cutlured and fermented
soy products help in making calcium more bio-available to the
body.

I hope this helps.

In peace, Roy
