Here's the magic wand for you.
It's like in Alcoholics Anonymous where they say one day at a time. I completely disagree for many reasons. They have it close but....
I've had my own program for quite a long time now that I've devised from lots of years involved in all kinda "inner stuff". I've taken what works for me and built on that.
Here's a big part of the answer.....taking things one day at a time...or as you say "Hopefully, I'll be where you are" is looking at it totally wrong. You're setting yourself up for failure...IMO. I used to take it one day at a time and hoped I'd be in X and then in Y and then in...........
Thing is...you've already made up your mind where you want to be therefore..."YOU'RE THERE"!! You made it. It's about right this second not in an hour or in a day. We might not be here in an hour but we are here right now.
You build on each moment and if you wanna get corny about it...you build breath to breath because thats whats really real. You've already accomplished your goal, now all you'll do is build on it and let it grow.
I compare it to AA b/c too many people fail in that program and I know why...pretty much. You should reward yourself every moment with healthy choices. Are you allowed to get depressed every here and there...course you are. Thats the MB way. The Yin/Yanging. Thing is....for me anyway...if I find myself getting caught up in any moment I try and evaluate as quickly as possible why I'm caught up...why I need to "cling" to "any" moment whether it's a feel good or feel bad moment....you DO have the answer...so answer it by being honest and move on. Its the same as that breath by breath moment. It's all that simple. It's the minute you start making things complex that things start getting........well...you know.
You feel good? Cool, feel good...You feel badly? Cool...so feel badly. You're alive, your feeling....NOT FAILING!
You're already there...Mazel Tov : )
Be well
