I believe it was in one of Ohsawa's books where I read that those Japanese practicing a pseudo-mb diet were most resilient to nuclear fallout following the WWII bombings. This only helps to reinforce what you were saying about the healing power and resilience a proper macrobiotics diet provides.
That aside, I still feel uneasy about these recent drinking water findings. While I do practise a fairly consistent mb lifestyle, none of my friends or family do.
The Wellness Water Filter looks absolutely amazing! Once I've saved up a little, I'm going to seriously consider buying one. In the meantime, I'll make do with my trusty little PUR filter and rejuvinated sense of importance in maintaining my mb habits.
Bruce, I'm quite interested in seeing your compilation of water purifications devices/media. Is it publicly available or a work-in-progress?
