another point is that alot of these writers also have web sites so you can get a feel for their work. Jessica Porter definitely does -

and you can probably also google any of the other authors to see if you "connect" to their work.
Someone also once suggested going to your local library and requesting mb books there (and ask if they can order them if they don't have - would be good for the whole community!!!), or do a search for used books.
I've built up my library over the years and love dearly all my books - hard to tell someone else what would work for them. But for me Jessica definitely stands out from all the rest, maybe because she's so down to earth!!!
btw, besides googling the authors and finding much written by them on the net, you can also find some good information here on the old chats, some led by mb authors.
hmmm, 95% are all fooling me - that's depressing.
