type 2 diabetes and nerve damage
I have been on the macro diet for about three months after seeing a lecture about it in ahealth food store. I have nbot been given specifics exactly for my condittion but I have been told I should use alittle more oil in my cooking, not drink too much water and use little salt.
I have been diagnosed as type two diabetic. I do not need to take shots and I am very disciplined about what I out in my system since I have been diagnoised. I have nerve damage wich is typical of diabetics. I have to wear special orthotics in my shoes when I go walking.
I have been told of the wonders of the macro diet and how it has cured many peaple. I am wonderig if it can cure the nerve damage on the bottums of my feet. I would love to be able to go bare foot at the beach again or late night dancing with my husband in a pair of heels.
I have found out that if I use too much salt it agravates my nerves and when my blood sugar gets too low.
Is it possible for me ever to reach a homeostasis or total recovery with this and get my body to function normally or does nerve damage never heal? How long will it take if there is a chance?
