I got on the Macrobiotics train in late September and have lost 10 lbs, which is nice. However I do sometimes get really off balance and go after sugary things, which makes me gain 1-2 lbs. (Yesterday was such a day, I'm having a rice and veggies day as penance.) I think its that you'll get to your lean weight if you stick to it well and don't eat the foods that obviously were making you fat before. Weight loss is all about what you put in your mouth. This is why those diets where you can still eat ice cream or cookies never ever worked for me.
After my first month I started experimenting to really see how these foods I used to eat would affect me after having been cleaned out. A pint of Ben and Jerry's kept me awake for days and gave me 3 lbs. Not fun. Had a few slices of pizza for dinner one night to compare the feel of white flour to the whole grains, and it served as a reminder that No really, Don't Eat White Flour!! :d (Couldn't go for two flippin days

)
