The funny thing about chewing is we've lost the habit - so it really does take conscious effort to do it again. While I was reading Lino's book, I got very inspired and followed it for a while. Somehow it's an area I need constant nudging to get back on.
I was at a mb meal where we decided to eat silently and concentrate on our chewing - that was inspiring.
But for the most part, if I'm with others when eating, the chewing gets lost. For me it works best when I'm eating alone and once again reminded (or even better, remind myself) and chew with concentration, as mentioned in Bruce's post.
