Re: greetings

hello again,

Quite a coincidence - today you're the second post I received in my mailbox that said please write - and the funny thing is I feel I write way too much.

Have you gone exploring on this site? There are loads and loads of old posts saved here, make for interesting reading and the nice thing is you can pick up old threads and respond to any of them - I haven't a clue why things are quiet right now on the site, but that doesn't take away from all the great info that's here - also blogs, recipes, articles, though you're not in the States and can't take advantage of the store, you can order the Macrobiotics Today to read on line, as well as order David Briscoe's on line courses, and there's also old chats that were fun to be on and still great reading.

Then there's other macro discussion groups - sometimes active and sometimes quiet

are you interested in the group in Yugoslavia - do you share the same language?? I can try to look for it if you can't find it.

My sympathies for how it must have been living through the war.

I live in Israel - and my home town used to be Los Angeles. I used to go home to visit my parents during the summers and when I was there, I was privileged to find a macro group that met every two weeks and was inspired to start a similar kind of group in my country locally. It went strong for about three years, we had weekly meetings with potlucks - but like all things in life, it changed and is no longer going on. It was nice getting together with other macro people and "breaking rice" together.

I'm the only one eating macro in my home, presently with 2 1/2 kids at home (the half is a 25 y.o. daughter whose base is here, but often sleeps over at friends) and one daughter who comes home every now and then and eats vegetarian - so we do share food when she's here (tho one can be vegetarian and far far away from mb!!!!!!!!!) - my husband cooks for the rest of the family - the temptations to eat his food are less and less - but I do have to make sure I have food I've prepared so I don't give in to what's around.

I've been macro around 12 years, had a few local teachers, and privileged to learn with some guest macro teachers that have been here. And very much enjoy it all.
