This would best be handled by a MD I think. One good resoursce is Dr. Sherry Rogers, MD.
I am not sure what low hemogloebin means, low red blood cells?? low serum meaning the fluid the cells float in? what?
Are other deficiencies present, like low magnesium ?
Another thing about blood tests is are they testing the serum or the red blood cells themselves. If they test the serum it may look like there is no deficiency when actually the body robs the needed minerals from blood cells to maintain the necessary nutrient level. So you need a red blood cell test rather than a serum blood test. I learned this from a Sherry Rogers book. Sherry herself is a macrobiotic and has studied with Kushi
