That's quite amazing that you're able to pinpoint what the source of your gas is. I think lots of people experience gas and there's so many things in the diet, it's hard for most people to realize what specifically causes it.
So is that the ONLY thing that has been different for you?
Someone once told me she was advised to simmer her pumpkin seeds, so as to make them more yin, then once the water was out, she'd keep cooking til done. I also try that as I figure more yin seems better for me, tho it doesn't always get to the poppping stage, I do enjoy how it tastes.
Also are you perhaps eating TOO MUCH of them. my friend loved them and was shocked when she was told she was eating too much. I have maybe a tablespoon or two to put on food, or to mix into a sauce (usually with a suribachi). Five pounds seems like you are probably thinking in large amounts, and maybe eating too many??
I hope it's one of the above, and not contamination - how on earth does one test for contamination?? If you take a break and not have any, do you still experience any discomforts?????
