Re: eating mainly soups and fish.. is it ok?

I'm fairly new to macrobiotics too and I don't follow the standard macrobiotic entirely, just yet. When starting out, I was having a hard time with the amount of rice as well. I put a partial serving of the brown rice in with a little miso soup. This took the blandness of the rice away. Eventually, I was able to eat them separately and branch out into other things.

The other mistake I made was not eating enough dark leafy greens. I like them, I just wasn't used to cooking with them and would not make the best choices when making my meals. After a blood test showing slight anemia, I went and talked to a nutritionist regarding which vegies and beans I could use to bolster the iron and proteins. I am now able to choose the combinations of foods that provide balanced support for my body.
