We are both avid cooks and could certainly take on the challenge of macrobiotic cooking it is just not somehting that we would ever realistically adopt full time.

Thanks!

Any help is appreciated.
Like anything else the two most important values in life are honesty and mindfullness in anything you do.
With that said I think you can answer your own question here.
It sounds to me that you are asking for permission to do something you feel guilty about. Its sort of like asking an alchoholic of which I used to be one if they can drink just on weekends. How would you answer that? Well, then there's your answer.
Its all about your life and how you want to orchestrate it.
It should be done in a mindful manner not just with a quick yes or no. Deep down we all have the answers to our own questions but it seems to me we look for the answers we only want to hear not the answers we know to be true.
Consciousness is about honesty. Its as simple as that.
I've come to the conclusion that the words we use can determine the outcome of our decissions.
Getting into a good "habit" can simply never happen. Why? BEcause to me no habit is a a good one. A "habit" is MINDLESS!! All we do should come from a conscious and mindful place. This will be the determining factor in all we do in our lives. Think mindfully as to what regimine you want and follow it....mindfully, mindfully, mindfully. That alone will bring you into a happy and healthy place.
If I cheat in my macro diet I admit it and deal with it. Is it ok? Only I can answe that question.
Is some better than none? Well....I suppose it is. Is one thing that you're doing outweighing the other things? Only you can answer that. The big word in macro is "balance". Are you balancing whats right for you or are you simply balancing justifications ? Only you can answer that.
You appreciate macrobiotics. How much? Enough to follow it?
Follow you heart. Mindfully.
Namaste'
