Hi Nadia. Thank you for your message. Regarding Christmas festivities: Yes, please eat turkey and anything else you like in moderation. Better to use natural sugar or honey than artificial sweetners in your desserts. Also maple syrup is good. It is just for one or two days right? If you get too fanatical and rigid over food then life is no fun. Please be flexible during important holy days. Turkey and most fowl (birds) are ok on macrobiotic diet on some occassions and especially good to use when winter comes and body needs more heat/fat. However for your condition better to avoid animal food whenever you can.
