Re: any quick yeast infection tricks?

You're on the right track if you know you have to alkalize your system. Actually the term is a misnomer, the body's homeostasis keeps your pH balance correct but you need to make that easier by building your mineral reserves, and the best way to do that is with a lot of seaweeds. Use them in miso soup, eat them as side dishes, and cook your grains in kombu stock. Drink kombu tea also, with just a dash of tamari.

Eat millet more than other grains as it is the only alkalizing grain. Limit starch intake severely for a while and concentrate on leafy green vegetables like watercress, kale, collards, turnip and mustard greens, lightly cooked. Take ume extract. Other helpful supplements to kill off yeast include pau d'arco and capryllic acid.

Avoid dairy products like the plague, too, and take it easy on beans, use primarily black soy. Douche with salted bancha tea, about half the salinity of seawater. Make sure the salt you are using is not a refined one. (I prefer the French product called Lima salt.)

Last but not least, eat natto. I am a big fan of natto. It's one of the most healing foods around. It's easy to make at home once you get the hang of it, too, and much cheaper than buying ready-made. You can make a large amount and store it in the freezer in small packages and thaw as needed.
