Re: Acupuncture & Macrobiotics
As I have experienced they go by a few different things. First you tell them about how you feel, ailments, they look at you- mostly your tounge, and they feel your pulses with the tips of fingers on the inside of the wrist, there are shallow and deep points which correspond to organs. They then talk and decide the best points- which are based on specific meridians using your own body to measure distances between them. I have been told I am kidney yin and spleen and blood deficient, weak, and cold. I have had points done relating to liver, kidney spleen, pericarium, heart, lung, stomache. I have had relief from dissyness, anxiety, restlessness, cold bladder through moxa bustion, and saddness, and even relief from a year of pain from tail bone injury. My illness is a yin type old and hard to get rid of. It has been most interesting to see the results and diagnosis coincide with a good macro diet. I have yet to have a macro diagnosis, but I keep learning over and over hoping I can get with it! Lysia
