The study of yin/yang is never ending and will take you, potentially, everywhere. The journey is spiral in configuration with ins and outs, and ups and downs. It is not always clear where to go or why, but keeping in mind the yin/yang principles can help sort things out.

The primary consideration in Mb is the yin/yang nature of food. To fully grasp the implications and effects of what these foods do, it is necessary also to indentify the yin/yang of all circumstances involved. Next to the food, ones own relationship to yin/yang has a major influence.

My own journey revealed that I more strongly transmuted in the yin than the yang. I was not readily containing the yang elements and was compelled to indulge in too much yin at times when I took yang that I was not competently encompassing. I do not mean just in terms of food, but how I related to the reality around myself. This involved the way I related to other people, responsiblities, entertainments, etc.. All of these things can "drive" you in a variety of yin/yang directions, not always favorable.

The most fascinating phenomenon, was to discover that certain people caried particular yin/yang energy balances that could virtually wipe me out. It was like being sucked empty by a cosmic vacuum cleaner. I often found myself totally emptied and dead feeling. It reflected my own limitation of coarse and showed me where I needed to strengthen. Often I tried to compensate with food, but the emptiness could only be filled with something that I had to generate from inside myself--perhaps this was a form of self acceptance.

To this day my food is relatively neutral, simple and devoid of extremes of yin/yang. The food can not be used to fill a feeling of emptiness. The fullness comes from living--giving,takeing, creating, responding. etc.. The food allows this by not imposing it own nature and therefore allows you to see yourself more clearly.

Live and be--full
