Re: macro snacks
Here are some snack ideas i've been playing with that require a bit of preparation: of course there's sticky rice balls (brown rice freshly made, rolled into a ball, press something in the center like part of an umeboshi plum or leftover cooked veggie, then wrap in nori paper). My new thing is to pan toast squares of mochi and wrap them with a slice of cooked apple and nori..sounds odd but soooo good. you can also eat dried fruits. Check the snack aisle of your healthfoods store too..there's some yummy brown rice crackers that come in lots of flavors like sesame and tamari and seaweeds. These are all good filling, satisfying foods that keep pretty well for a while!!!
