Re: mucous and morning porridge

Through reading the Kuchi book "Path to Healing", I learned that wheat and oats can cause mucky mucous in ways that dairy can to some people. The book suggested (which is what i'm doing myself actually) is to stop eating wheat and rolled/steel cut oats for a few months and then slowly add them in small portions to gauge your reaction. I find that my morning porridge mucous feeling has stopped after about a week. Not all grains are great for everyone, I personally find that too much wheat makes me feel very contracted and bound, maybe it's more yang than my dear friend brown rice.
