If you don't like it - don't eat it!
Life is too short to not enjoy what you eat.
however before you reject it, try cooking it different ways.
soaked and boiled, pressure cooked, toasted and baked. With veggies, with tofu, with tempeh, with fish (if you eat fish), with nuts, with seeds, with chestnuts (who can resist that).
and if you still don't like it, leave it and maybe come back to it as your taste buds change.
sometimes I love rice, other times I don't really want it. Sometimes I crave it boiled when I am more yang and sometimes pc when more yin. At the moment I am on a buckwheat adventure!
and don't forget millet, barley, quinoa.....
