Re: A ghost story.
Jennifer
I did indeed read your post and with great interest.
Personally I do not accept anything as being supernatural. Existence exists and only existence exists. A body without a spirit is a corpse and a spirit without a body is a ghost. Both are symbols of death.
I can not verify what you see or not see. Things do exist that are not solidly part of this life. What you see may be entities that have totally lost the integration of yin/yang. These would certainly be willing to latch onto (perhaps out of envy) those that are in this life, which is an existence of body(yang) and spirit(yin)-integrated together. I wish there were other terms to use than yin/yang, because of the mystical identity they have acquired. Perhaps as quantum and zero vector physics develope, a more rational and less mysterious sounding term will evolve.
God as a separate being, above existence itself is supernatural and therefore irrelevant. The concept that Christians refer to as God is ego projection-a way to explain apparently mysterious phenomena. Yin/yang bifurcating in a single point to become one (like zero vector physics) also explains these phenonena, but remains accessible and not separate and exclusive. I eat this food to help maintain a balance of yin/yang integration to substantiate and fortify my own existence. I think this is the most moral thing I can do. Putting it in Christian terms--good stewardship. To defer this responsiblity to a supernatural being seems unspiritual and irresponsible.
Messing around with the occult is to be avoided. We concur on this, I think. The occult is an attempt to find a short cut to the responsiblity of being an alive human being. There are no short-cuts! I think most of the classic traditional religions have lost their core and have devolved into cults---occult like----looking for the short cut.
You have implicitly invited this response by your post--as do I
Respectfully
