Re: A ghost story.
More than 20 years ago, it was the day after my elderly father's death, and I was sitting alone at the kitchen table, having a cup of tea. At the moment that I saw what I did, I was not feeling particularly distressed or anything; if anything, I actually felt quite neutral or peaceful. I do not take drugs or alcohol.
I saw a coiled, spiral-shaped whiteish, transparent "thing" that seemed to emanate from the area of the stove. It moved upward quickly and disappeared. I never said anything about this to anyone, and, oddly, I didn't feel frightened or curious. No, the stove was not on, and nothing was burning.
Years later, my mother, out of nowhere (not like I brought the topic up - I did not), mentioned to me that she saw the same thing, at the same time. While she was not in the kitchen with me, she was lying on the sofa in the living room. (There is a narrow doorway between the kitchen and the living room and the way she positioned on the sofa, she could have seen the stove, but not me at the table. ) So - we both saw the same thing, but neither of us spoke of this till a few years had passed.
I hope this is of interest.
Where we live now, I heard heavy footsteps behind me, when I was the only one there. I turned around, and nobody or anything was there. I did not feel frightened, for some reason.
