fresh turmeric
I was excited to find fresh turmeric at one of the Upper West Side health food stores last week. I grated it in oatmeal (radioactive oatmeal) and used it as I would ginger in stir frys, as well as in a Kimpira I thought was pretty good. Anyone have any other recipes for fresh turmeric? How is it regarded in the macro literature? The oranges that make up the meat of this rhizome are absolutely beautiful, and it turns oil the color of highlighter pens!
