i first heard of macrobiotics in the 60's, but it was only in november of 2003, when i was diagnosed with cancer that i started to find macrobiotics in y life. after reading a bood called "recovery" by elaine nussbaum, i was convinced. since then, i've studied for 3 hours a day 3 times a week with a local teacher, have worked with a level 4 professional shiatsu master, and have attended a 1-week intensive course at the kushi institute in becket, mass. my died is strict, which is not to say perfect. i'd love to find some other like-minded folks in the dallas/ft worth area that would like to start a group that would gget together and share food, recipes, philosophy, etc. i've recently moved to dallas from san francisco, so much is new. i look forward to feedback. i'd also appreciate tips on travelling.
