oh dear, "oh my", thanks for the answer Bruce!
(unfortunately) getting up very early is no problem, it's rare that I can sleep past 5 in the morning.
I had been thinking about just "cooking ahead" - that would not even really be the problem - I was more worried about eating lunch that was cooked some 5-6 hours before being eaten. But I am glad to find my notion that it is better to eat pre-cooked good food than to eat warm questionable food.

Will stop surfing in the mornings and start cooking - I have a few books, one is even Austrian with many good recipes and am all set to go!

Thanks again, and no, right now our hills are more likely to be alive with the sounds of snow-boarders or drunken tourists, or, worst of all - tinned "modern yodlers" broadcast along the ski lifts (gag) - than real music - it makes me pine for Julie Andrews and that is truly a bad sign ;-)
