Hi Nancy
Thank you so much for all of your posts in relation to the ginger compresses. Due to your posts and the links given, I am convinced I need to do it and have just started my first 4 months - I've already done two and my third will be tomorrow morning!
I have a few queries maybe you or someone else may be able to help me with:
1. You mention that you can get a very deep relaxation while doing the compress. I find that despite my two towels on top, my compress towel is cooling relatively fast and so I am up every 3-4mins. This may also be because I want the towel to be as hot as possible so will change it if I consider it is not hot but just "warm". Given I'm up and down so much how do you get the deep relaxation? Is there something else I should be doing to keep the heat in the compress towel for longer?
2. The notes also state that you should not be doing it if you have cancer. What if you don't know? I would like to get my mother doing these compresses (and father too!!) but does she need to get tested for cancer first? Could it be disasterous if she did it while having cancer?
3. Last question!! The notes say you should not do it while pregnant. Can you do it while you are breast feeding? (don't worry I'm not pregnant, just planning how I will fit in my 3 x4 month sessions!!)
Many thanks, Janet
