Re: Hi from Louisiana
Hi Eddie,
Since your condition sounds quite serious, but to your credit you are not panicking, my recommendation to you would be to immediately purchase the paperback, "The Standard Macrobiotic Diet" by Michio Kushi. This is a book containing the lists of all foods recommended on the Macrobiotic Diet, listed for Regular Use, Occasional Use, and Infrequent Use. This is a guideline for the Healing Macrobiotic Diet, which will provide enough alkalinity to your bloodstream to arrest the progress of cancer. Stay away from all acid, sweet, foods, --including herbs and spices of any kind, pills made in a laboratory (prescription medication and vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.) dyes, preservatives, and food additives, and Nightshade Vegetables, which are very acid. Deepak Chopra, who has guided many to remission of cancer, says do not eat anything from a package, meaning: eat only fresh REAL foods and produce. Stay away from packaged, fake foods, --the kind people like to microwave in plastic then eat for dinner. This book can be purchased from the K.I. Website (Kushi Institute) or click on Catalog at the top of this page and look through the book listings.
I also recommend, Michio Kushi's, "The Cancer Prevention Diet" which will give you information specific to Colon and Liver Cancer, foods to eat, foods to avoid, and home remedies to apply to dispell tumors. Also, Kushi's, "The Macrobiotic Way", is a great overall book, including exercise and lifestyle recommendations to introduce you to the macrobiotic lifestyle and diet.
Then, I recommend autobiographies of people who have overcome cancer, Elaine Nussbaum, "Recovery from Cancer", Anthony Satillaro, "Recalled By Life", Mina Dobic, "My Beautiful Life" and others. The biographies tell exactly how they did it, usually including help from a qualified macrobiotic counselor.
Check online macrobiotic directories for references that can aid you in finding macrobiotic groups and counselors in your area of Louisiana.
Best Wishes for your Self Healing, be sure to visit Cybermacro often and keep us posted on your progress.
Nancy
