Jeanette just recommended the primer book for those new to macrobiotics that we always recommend to newbies...as it gives the new person more comprehensive information (The Macrobiotic Way).
Michio Kushi's pamplet book, The Standard Macrobiotic Diet, is essentially a very easy reference guide full of Food Lists, in all the categories, (i.e. grains, vegetables, beans, sea vegetables, etc.). It is wonderfully devised available from the Kushi Institute. It also includes foods listed for regular use, ocassional, and infrequent use, as well as, lists for those living in tropical and artic regions.
Very handy reference guide, just great!
