It is true that large amounts of water are not recommended, but for an athlete like you, lots of water is needed. Ohsawa was not into that kind of rigourous excercise!
A macro diet is great for athletes. Just eat more, to reach your calorie goal. Great runners, for example, eat lots of carbs. Here, you eat lots of carbs, but only the "good" unrefined carbs.
Probably a little oil, nuts and seeds are good for you, I would agree. Good luck!
