Can someone please explain to me the spiritual element of macrobiotics? I am interested in the diet purely for health reasons, not to adopt the philosophies that go along with it. I have been following and adapted diet for some time and I am confused about this talk of ying and yang foods. Is this really relevant to selecting foods. Shouldn't they be selected for their nutritional content no whether someone feels it is a ying or yang food? Basically my selection of foods has been based perdominantly on nutritional value and I have had a great deal of success with this. I am interested in the opinions of this forum.
