Where did you hear or read that?
The K.I. is having a difficult financial time now so they are cutting back on hiring but if someone is willing to work for room and board, plus a weekly stipend of let's say $10.00, I'm sure that they would take anyone of any nationality (the tradition at the K.I. and the East West Foundation before that was to take in any volunteer students).

Thanks so much for your e-mail. I found this quote on
www.kushiinstitute.org under Volunteer stay ( one months stay or longer stays, 17 weeks) that they cannot accept somebody without a working permit for the USA.
Well, this maybe an idea to write them first and ask them what they can offer me. Then I may be able to get a work permit for one month, who knows?
I printed all the pages, but they are at home and I at work. But if you are interested, I can send it to you or you can check the above web site which gives the prices per week, short and long stays.
