Re: Air conditioning on the body
this sounds good. the important thing is: what is the effect on the body? for instance, any stuffy sinuses, nisha, or clogged throat? shb, what about you?
we learn that the reason for more spicy food is precisely to air-conditon the body, to open the pores so as to release the heat. alcohol is said to have the same result - you know, rum- or vodka-collins or gin and tonic.
here in seattle, we have very little need for air-conditioning, maybe less than a week a year historically over the past ten years. the university lowers its a/c in the summertime because the school population is so low. one needs to be more careful about the time to work there because with decreased o2 flow comes higher co2 levels. very tough, especially in front of a computer.
we spent 3 years in florida in the 80s. we can tell first-hand that a/c was hard on the body - lots of aching, too! much better on those especially hot days to sit in the shade and chew on (and spit out) sunflower shells. all those shell particles - helps to develop patience! if you're from georgia, for instance, you know what we're talking about.
