Apparently the dust can irritate the lungs and respiratory tract.

Maybe it's time to consume some lotus root.

If one wants to prevent Kitty or Rover from getting or keeping fleas or ticks, one can feed them seaweeds like some cooked seaweed or dry kelp powder mixed with their food.
