I missed this one...

Nancy, you wrote in an earlier post the following:

>Whoosh! I am blown away by your reply, --that was a really comprehensive, excellent answer. Thank you. It makes perfect sense and is common sense. I think pioneers who founded this nation had a handle on the rhythm of the land and healthy living habits. All people who live close to the land and work physically on the land do. <

Yes the founding fathers were mainly of English descent and the vast majority who penned the Declaration and Constitution were Deists. By the end of the seventh century the cult of reason and enlightment helped to change the world view. In England the Deists formed in the earlly part of the eighteenth century to show that there was no need for organized religion and that "God's Laws" were sufficiently manifested in Nature. Thus there was no need for any supernatural revelation. Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin were Deists and great thinkers. I know for sure that Jefferson was a gentleman farmer (from Virginia) but not sure just how much he dug the land (he was a printer and public offical by trade).

Sorry I missed this part of the post. Well, the weekend is nearly over and I will have to start backing off on posting for a while. Have a great week, beginning this second...

In peace, Roy
