Hummus Supreme

This recipe uses no tahini or sesame butter...only whole seeds...

Hummus Supreme

3/4 cup hulled sesame seed, rised and lightly toasted to pick up the flavor. Chop in a blender or a seed/coffee mill.

Blend with the rest of these ingredients:

1/2 c or more of water...start with 1/2c

juice of one lemon

l clove minced garlic. If you more garlicky flavor, smash it with your knife and then dice it finely.

l c plus of cooked garbanzo beans. If you are going to eat this hummus right you prepare it, you might like to have the beans warm. If you use the liquid from your beans, you will not need more water.

2 tsp. dried parsley. Put the leaves in a strainer and rub them to break them down and release the flavor. There might be a few stems left after cleaning off the leaves. Can use or not...

white miso...adjust to taste.

Enjoy...Dorcas Gerace

Sounds Wonderful!

Thank you Dorcas Gerace for a new Idea (I wish I\'d thought of) for Hummus, using ground sesame seeds instead of Tahini! I always have sesame seeds on hand for making Gomashio, but seldom have Tahini, the oil not optimal for my condition. Can\'t wait to try this pure and natural Hummus recipe! I love Hummus! Garlic and black olive is another idea.
